# Zapier connector

> Add Nitro PDF and Sign actions to your Zaps.

The Nitro connector for Zapier brings Nitro Automate's document processing and eSignature
capabilities to the apps you already connect with Zapier, with no code required. Pick up a file
from Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, or an email attachment, run it through Nitro, and send the result
wherever the rest of your Zap goes — no HTTP requests, no token handling.

## What you can do

## Typical Zaps people build with it

* A new invoice is added to Google Drive → **Parse Invoice** → add a row to Google Sheets or Airtable.
* A Typeform response is submitted → **Fill PDF Form** → send the completed form for signature with Nitro Sign.
* A HubSpot or Salesforce deal moves to closed-won → send for signature with Nitro Sign → post a Slack notification when it is signed.
* An email with an attachment arrives in Gmail → **Smart PII Detection** → **Redact PDF** → save the redacted copy to Dropbox.
* A report is uploaded to OneDrive → **Microsoft Office to PDF** → **Password Protect PDF** → email it to the client.

## How it works

    The first time you add a Nitro step to a Zap, Zapier asks you to connect your Nitro account.
    Enter the Client ID and Client Secret from your API application, and optionally a connection
    name. The connection is saved to your Zapier account and can be reused across Zaps; the app
    obtains and refreshes access tokens for you.

  <Accordion title="Passing documents in and out">
    Nitro actions accept files from earlier steps in your Zap — a file object or a file URL — and
    return the processed file for the next step to use, including another Nitro action. Files up
    to 100 MB and 500 pages are supported.

    The PDF Services app provides **actions only**. There are no triggers or searches, so a Zap
    always starts with another app's trigger and uses Nitro as a subsequent step. The Nitro Sign
    app adds a *signature request completed* trigger.

## Before you start

You need a Client ID and Client Secret from the Nitro Developer portal. See
[Credentials](/docs/authentication/credentials), or
[request API access](https://sso.gonitro.com/platform-trial-signup) if you do not
have an account yet.
